MINISTRIES

Helping the most vulnerable is a mark of true religion (James 1:27).  We strive to do this through partnering with several important ministries in he area.

We support East End Pregnancy Center which supports women and men who are navigating pregnancy in challenging circumstances.  They provide counseling, support, ultrasounds, and much more at their Nine Mile Road location.  Church Hill Pres provides personnel who volunteer at the center, as well as a storage facility for their extra baby supplies.

Another group we support is REAL Life.  REAL Life primarily supports people who have been released from incarceration and wish to become free from addictions, homelessness, and hopelessness.  We currently hold a Bible study at one of their recovery houses, and are involved with daily call-ins to encourage their clients.

We are also involved in Prison Discipleship Ministry.  PDM exists to bring the gospel into jails and prisons all over Virginia.  We hold Bible studies in the Richmond City Jail, Henrico jails, Sussex I prison, and other facilities throughout the Commonwealth.  CHP maintains a clothes closet for inmates who are released and are trying to get back on their feet.

In addition, we bring over 40 grocery bags of food each month to the Bowler Retirement Center across the street from the church.  This ministry is something we took over from Leigh Street Baptist.  It helps dozens of seniors who struggle with food insecurity.

We are always looking for good ways to minister in our community.  If you are involved in a particular ministry and would like us to get involved, we would love to hear about it.
